Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani' is one of the most-awaited films in recent times, and the director obviously wanted to cash in on the hype. Unfortunately, Priyanka Chopra robbed him of the opportunity to do so.
According to reports, PC tweeting photos from the lavni dance-off rehearsals has left Sanjay miffed, as he wanted to announce it on a grand scale.
"A big publicity campaign was planned around the film's climactic dance number being choreographed by Remo D'Souza and featuring the two Bajirao Mastani divas Deepika and Priyanka.Announcing it through two two tweeted lines was certainly not Mr Bhansali's idea of breaking the film's big story," DNA quoted a source as saying.
"Off to rehearsals!!! Let's kill it @deepikapadukone ..along with our legs!! Haha.. #BajiraoMastani," Priyanka tweeted adding photos from the rehearsal space.
Since there's been no official announcement on the mentioned differences, this can be counted as mere speculation.
The source further elaborated that it's a folk dance, and not a lavni. Also, there were reports of choreographer-turned-director Remo D'Souza choreographing it and that it would be shot in Mumbai over a span of 10 days.
"It is a folk dance. But it is not lavni. We don't know how or why this misinformation has been spread. And if Priyanka Chopra wrote about it, it is strange she doesn't know which dance form she is performing," the source added.
In other news, Priyanka has wrapped up her television debut "Quantico" and is now busy promoting Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do", which also features Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.
Deepika, on the other hand, has been on to Shoojit Sarcar's "Piku" promotions.
