Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' much-awaited Mumbai reception turned out to be the perfect way for celebs to congratulate the newlyweds and meet the who's who of the industry in full swing. The biggest names from the cricket field to the entertainment industry, made their presence felt at their wedding reception.
While Urmila Matondkar and Ranveer Singh's dance on "Rangeela Re" broke the internet, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra's pinga dance-off trended for a while on social platforms. Putting all the rumours of an alleged tiff between the two, Salman Khan made a dashing entry at the couple's reception. Even ex – Shahid Kapoor – arrived in style with his wife, Mira Rajput.
However, we were left bitterly disappointed with Shah Rukh Khan's absence from the bash. As per a Deccan Chronicle report, both Shah Rukh - Gauri and Priyanka – Nick came face-to-face at Isha Ambani's wedding reception and greeted each other warmly. The report further mentions an actress saying, "I've never seen them speak to one another. But I guess the beautiful occasion, plus the fact that PeeCee is now Mrs Jonas, must have prompted Shah Rukh's innately gentlemanly nature to zip out of his heart. It was a very spontaneous gesture of warmth."
It has been reported that Shah Rukh had hosted a special screening of his movie, Zero, for close friends at his home in Mannat and thus couldn't attend the party. Akshay Kumar, on the other hand, was busy spending quality time with son Aarav who is back home for holidays. On behalf of Ajay Devgn, Kajol attended the event. While Aamir Khan was in China for a film's promotion.
On the work front, Shah Rukh's next big project, 'Zero' along with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma released last Friday but has been struggling to make a mark at the box-office so far.
