Talented singer and actress Priyanka Chopra has been making news all over, with her music album topping the charts to her lavish deal for her first item song, "Babli Badmash."
Latest buzz is PC is going to emulate superstar Amitabh Bachchan and yesteryear diva Zeenat Aman for Sanjay Gupta's "Shootout at Wadla" item song.
The "Babli Badmash" song will recreate the entire retro look and special costumes have been designed by Manish Malhotra for the purpose. The costumes made of rubber and leather with will have LED lights, an ode to Big B's "Yaraana" (1981) where he wore an outfit fitted with bulbs.
A trademark retro style sequined gown with side slits worn by Zeenat Aman will be recreated for the look. Only difference is that PC will flaunt a leather slit gown instead of a sequinned one to give a contemporary appeal.
"I had a blast shooting for it. I love the track and I'm excited to work with Ekta, Sanjay, Ahmed, Anu sir and the rest of the team," The elated actress told Times of India.
Director Sanjay Gupta exclaimed, "Priyanka has rocked 'Babli Badmaash'. Her enthusiasm is unlike that of any other actress I've worked with."
This is Priyanka's first association with Balaji. Producer Ekta Kapoor said, "We went through numerous tracks before finalising on what we all felt was a winner. Priyanka has taken the song to a new level and will become synonymous with Babli."
Sunidhi Chauhan has lent her voice to the song and the music has been composed by Anu Malik.
