Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra has been declared the "World's Sexiest Asian Woman", according to a survey conducted by Asian weekly Eastern Eye.
The 30-year-old actor and singer gained the top spot after defeating last year's winner Kareena Kapoor and three-times winner Katrina Kaif to claim the title this year.
"Following a record-breaking number of people from different continents voting for UK based, Eastern Eye newspaper's world-renowned list, the gorgeous Priyanka secured top spot with Kareena coming second and Katrina third," the weekly said.
The other Bollywood actresses who made it to the list are Deepika Padukone (4), Bipasha Basu (6), Sonam Kapoor (7) and Diana Penty (15). Also former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made it to the list.
Asjad Nazir, showbiz editor of Eastern Eye Asjad Nazir, puts together the popular list of "Worlds Sexiest Asian Woman" every year. Nazir is also the chairman of the judging panel.
"The sheer diversity of the projects that Priyanka did in 2012 combined with her close connection to fans online worked in her favour and added to her already impressive fan base," Nazir said.
"That is why she was able to beat off pop stars, TV personalities, models and fellow film stars. I am sure she will build on this success by becoming a successful international pop star and cracking Hollywood in a big way in the next couple of years," he added.
Indian television actresses also made it to the list for the first time. "Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai" stars Nia Sharma (5) and Krystle D'Souza (9) became the first ever Indian TV actresses to enter the top 10 list.
The full list of the "World's Sexiest Asian Woman" will be released on Dec 7.
