After the success of "Mary Kom", director Omung Kumar is all set to direct his next venture based on a World War II story.
The director hasn't locked the cast of the film but reportedly, Priyanka Chopra, who has received a positive response for her performance in "Mary Kom", has been approached for the lead role.
The actress is said to be in talks with the makers, although, nothing has been finalised as of now.
If the deal is sealed, this would be the second time Chopra and Kumar will team up after the success of "Mary Kom".
"Omung is busy scripting his second film which is based on World War 2 and Omung is considering Priyanka for a very strong role in the film. Talks are on but nothing has been finalised so far. Since his first film with Priyanka was a profitable venture he considers her as her lucky mascot." a source told Koimoi.
Kumar is currently scripting the film and will start rolling the cameras from October 2015. Further, some portions of the period drama will be shot in real locations as well.
"It's a period film and I feel their stories haven't been told on screen. I will shoot in some real locations and also create a set. I will start shooting by mid-October." Kumar told IANS.
Meanwhile, Chopra, who is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani" also a period film, has bagged the "World's Sexiest Asian Woman 2014" title in an annual poll conducted by Eastern Eye, a UK-based weekly newspaper.
Chopra has also been roped in by popular Hollywood studio, ABC Television Network, to play the lead role in an American show. This is a huge feat for Chopra as it is the first time that any Hollywood show has signed an Indian actor to play the lead.
