Priyanka Chopra, who is currently busy shooting for the second season of her Hollywood show Quantico, is planning to announce her next Bollywood project by December.
The actress is set to sign Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's next, titled Fanney Khan. It is a comedy film starring Anil Kapoor in the lead role, reports DNA. Priyanka, whose last Bollywood outing was Jai Gangaajal, has read the script and expressed her willingness to join the team. However, she is yet to do the paperwork.
Fanney Khan will be a remake of Everybody's Famous, the hit movie that was released in 2000. The plot revolves around a father who abducts a top singer of the country to make way for his daughter who is equally talented.
The Mirzya director will, however, not direct the film. He will produce it under his banner. Fanney Khan will be directed by Atul Manjrekar. If Priyanka agrees to be a part of the project, it will be the second time she and Anil will team up for a movie, after Dil Dhadakne Do.
Meanwhile, Priyanka will be making her Hollywood big screen debut with Baywatch, starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. She plays the antagonist in the movie.
The Bajirao Mastani actress had recently added another feather to her cap. She turned a producer and made a seven-minute film under her banner, Purple Pebble Pictures. The film, titled Ek Khoobsoorat Itefaq, will be available on the digital platform. It features popular television actor Shashank Vyas of Balika Vadhu fame and Naagin 2 actress Adaa Khan.
