Priyanka Chopra, who has tasted success at every stage of career – be it her acting career in Bollywood, as International singer or her latest association with an American TV show – definitely deserves all the applause.
And now, rumours have been doing the rounds that the former Miss World has been approached to endorse a global brand that makes handbags.
Apparently, the "Mary Kom" actress has agreed to the deal at a whopping ₹15 crore.
"The officials approached her last month and pitched the campaign to her, after which, she agreed to be part of it. However, some formalities are yet to be completed," a source told Hindustan Times.
Further, the actress who is currently in the US, will start shooting for the campaign early next month. As per her contract, she allotted two months for the campaign during which she will shoot for TV commercials as well as pose for the brand's print ads.
"Her work is expected to start next month, and will go on for a period of two months. The ads will be made public in the US," said the source, adding that the deal has been sealed at a whopping ₹15 crore. "In the next six months, the brand also plans to launch the range of handbags in India. Until then, Priyanka will endorse it in the US."
If reports are anything to go by, then with this deal, Chopra will beat her contemporaries in bagging the most expensive endorsement deal.
Last year, there were reports that the "Barfi!" actress has been offered ₹11 crore endorsement deal by a brand.
Meanwhile, Chopra who has signed a one-year deal with ABC TV Network last year, will soon be making her American TV debut with a role in ABC drama pilot "Quantico".
In the Bollywood work front, the actress has been shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani" alongside Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
