If tinsel town rumours are true, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra will be seen romancing Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in her maiden home production "Madamji".
The film will be co-produced by Ram Mirchandani.
The "Mary Kom" actress is teaming up again with Madhur Bhandarkar after "Fashion", which got her the best actress National Film award.
"I'm really grateful Madhur agreed to be my first director in my first production venture. We tried to work in some other films as well, but unfortunately that didn't happen. I completely trust Madhur," India Today quoted Piggy Chops as saying.
""Madamji" will be about the journey and struggles of an item girl who climbs the ladder of success and becomes a politician. The film will be mainly shot in Bhopal, Delhi, Johanpur, Lucknow and Mumbai. It is said to be inspired by Sanjay Dutt's wife Manyata Dutt," the magazine reports.
Priyanka Chopra is reportedly playing the item girl in the film, while a search is on for a suitable actor to play the male lead. The details of the hero's role in the film are yet to be revealed by the makers. The buzz in B-town is that the actress-turned-producer wants to rope in with Fawad Khan.
Starting his career as a model, Fawad Khan made his acting debut on small screen in "Jutt and Bond" in 2001. Later, he forayed into films with "Khuda Kay Liye" in 2007. In 2013, he entered Hindi cinema with Sonam Kapoor's "Khoobsurat", which got him huge attention in India.
His stint on the small screen earned him many fans in Pakistan. His TV shows "Zindagi Gulzaar Hai" and "Humsafar" were not only popular in Pakistan, but also in India, especially among women. He is rated as one of the hottest hunks in celebrity circles in the Indian sub-continent.
