Priyanka Chopra is again hitting the headlines but this time for all the wrong reasons. She was supposed to start shooting for director Ali Abbas Zafar's upcoming film Bharat also starring Salman Khan, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi and Sunil Grover. But she walked out of the film at the last minute citing her engagement with boyfriend Nick Jonas.
While the director confirmed Priyanka's exit from Bharat on Twitter, the producer of the film has called the Quantico actress as unprofessional to take such step suddenly. And if latest reports in DNA is to be believed, Priyanka had mentioned in her clause that she will not share the film's poster with Baaghi 2 actress Disha Patani.
Priyanka was supposed to sport five different looks and considering her role in Bharat, she reportedly placed a demand of having solo posters like that of the film's lead actor Salman Khan. The condition seems quite unusual as right from her first film Andaz to her last Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani, Priyanka had shared the poster with her co-actresses.
Disha Patani, on the other hand, shared her first look from Bharat sets on Instagram showing off a black cape with her film's character name Radha written on it.
Meanwhile, the Bharat team is currently on a hunting spree for their leading actress and reports are strongly suggesting that Ali Abbas Zafar's good friend Katrina Kaif may come on board and fill in Priyanka's boots. If she does, it will be interesting to see Salman and Katrina reuniting together after delivering a blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai last year.
Bharat is an official remake of the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father. It is produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The movie is slated for an Eid release in 2019.
Amid all the chaos, Priyanka has begun shooting for her upcoming film The Sky is Pink with Farhan Akhtar. The production house of the movie shared a video of the stars in work mode on the official Instagram account.
In the video, Farhan can be seen discussing his role with movie director Shonali Bose and the producer, while Priyanka can be seen choosing her costumes. The video ends with the two stars along with 'Dangal' actor Zaira Wasim sharing a laugh.
The film is based on the life of Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with an immune deficiency order at the age of 13. It is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur under his home banner Roy Kapur Films. The official release date of the movie is yet to be announced.
