Priyanka Chopra is probably one of the few Bollywood stars who has worked extensively in Hollywood. Her portrayal of wrongly-accused FBI agent Alex Parrish in "Quantico" has made her a household name in the West.
Rumour has it, if season 2 of her hit TV show "Quantico" clicks and garners impressive TRP ratings, she may move to Los Angeles for a good five years, DNA reported. This decision would make sense because apparently there aren't too many projects in Bollywood that have managed to pique her interest.
"She has also been getting offers for Bollywood movies, but none have been exciting enough for her to take up. She's bought an apartment in LA, so she doesn't have any staying problems too. This will also give Priyanka an opportunity to explore further work in Hollywood as it will save her time flying back-and-forth. Her mother Dr Madhu Chopra will handle PC's production house in India," the daily quoted an insider as saying.
However, a look at her recent interviews shows that she has no intention of quitting Bollywood. Although not being able to take up Hindi film projects breaks her heart, she believes in commitment. Talking to the Hindustan Times, Priyanka revealed that she will be working on a couple of films after wrapping up "Quantico" season 2.
"The rest of the year is for films – whether that is Hindi or English films, I will decide. This year, I have taken up 'Baywatch' and I will take on another Hindi film. The next year, I may do two Hindi or English films, it all depends on what I'm offered. But as long as people want to watch me in Hindi cinema, I will be there. This is my heart and soul," she elaborated.
