Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has become an international face now, thus Indian fans should get used to her appearing at big events like Oscars. The diva has currently put another feather in her cap as she has reportedly been invited to the annual White House Correspondents' dinner.
This special dinner will be the last event at the White house for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, according to the Times of India. Other international stars like Bradley Cooper, Lucy Liu, Jane Fonda, and Gladys Knight have also been invited at the gala dinner.
Though the Bollywood beauty has received the invitation, it is possible that the actress will give it a miss due to her busy schedule. "Priyanka is shooting for the new season of 'Quantico' and also has a schedule of her maiden Hollywood film 'Baywatch' lined up. Whether she will make it to the White House dinner or not will be clear only next week," TOI quoted a source as saying.
The White House Correspondents' dinner will reportedly be graced by entertainer Larry Wilmore, the host of "The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore." The gala is aimed at raising funds for journalism scholarships and recognising exemplary work in the profession.
The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner is traditionally attended by the president and his wife, who are joined by other senior government officials and members of the press corps, according to the official site of the WHCA.
It is a huge honour for Priyanka as well as India as she has got a chance to be part of such a big event. Meanwhile, Priyanka is aiming to make a mark in Hollywood and will soon appear in "Baywatch" alongside Zac Effron and Dwayne Johnson. The "Quantico" actress has not signed any Bollywood project yet.
