Looks like Priyanka Chopra, who has been looking for a plush property in Mumbai for the last three years, has finally zeroed in on her dream house.
The "Mary Kom" actress has apparently purchased a huge bungalow with a beachfront view in the posh area of Versova for a whopping ₹100 crore. Not just that, the exotic house has 15 bedrooms, according to DNA.
The huge amount has raised many eyebrows in the film industry, as very few biggies can afford such luxury.
The luxurious bungalow, known as Dariya Mahal, is the last among seven lavish properties located in a peaceful street in Versova. Interestingly, all of the properties in the street boast of vintage architecture.
The bungalow was built in 1930s by a British architect, Claude Batley for a wealthy textile merchant Maneklala Chunilal Chinai. But after his death, the bungalow was transferred to his grandson Harish Chinai, who is now the owner of the property.
Dariya Mahal until now has been rented out to Bollywood producers for shooting purposes, but now speculations regarding the "Mary Kom" actor having met Harish and sealed the deal is doing the rounds.
"She has fallen in love with it's antiquity and it appears to be on her wishlist. However, the owners are low-key and want the property to remain in the family, so she might have to let go of this dream pad. But negotiations are on," a source told Bollywood Life.
Rumors also had it that the "Gunday" actress has been eyeing another bungalow, Mayur Mahal in Juhu, which is also rented for shootings.
Besides Chopra, actors including Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan have also expressed their interest in buying the property in the past, but the deal apparently fell through both times.
However, it is not clear as to when Chopra, who is currently living with her mother in a posh flat in Lokhandwala ever since her father passed away, will move to her new ₹100 crore bungalow.
