Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has become a well-known figure in Hollywood. The 33-year-old actress has made India proud with her achievements, and now she has another feather in her cap: Priyanka will be honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award.
The actress will be honoured the prestigious award in the category of the Best Actress of the Year, according to the Press Trust of India. And, this would be her second award from the Foundation after she received her first one for the Most Memorable Performance in 2011 for her film "7 Khoon Maaf."
Priyanka has impressed fans with her brilliant performances in films like "Barfi!" "Mary Kom" and "Bajirao Mastani." Though she was not the leading actress in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial, the diva was apparently liked more than Deepika Padukone in the flick.
She also appeared in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" last year, and her last Bollywood movie in 2016 was Prakash Jha's "Jai Gangaajal." Meanwhile, the actress is working on her international projects. After capturing hearts with the American television series "Quantico," PeeCee bagged her first Hollywood project "Baywatch." She will share screen space with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the film.
Also, it has been reported that the beauty queen has been invited to the annual White House correspondents' dinner. This special dinner will be the last event at the White House for U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, and several international stars are invited at the event.
Meanwhile, Priyanka will receive the Dadasaheb Film Foundation award for the second time on the occasion of 147th Dadasaheb Phalke Jayanti. The ceremony will be held in Mumbai April 24.
