Pooja Bhatt-Manish Makhija, Priyadarshan-Lissy, Hrithik-Sussanne, Dileep-Manju and Other Celebs Who Parted Ways in 2014 [PHOTOS]

Actor-director Pooja Bhatt and her husband Munish Makhija have decided to end their 11-year-long marriage.

Clearing the air over the rumours regarding her wedlock, the actress tweeted: "To all those who care & especially those that don't my husband Munna & Me have decided to part ways after 11 glorious years of marriage. Our split as some might call it is amicable & we hold each other in the highest esteem for now and forever."

Pooja and Manish met while they were working together in her directorial debut "Paap" in 2004. 

Recently, director Priyadarshan and actress Lissy also filed a divorce petition, ending their 24-year-long marriage, at a Chennai court on 1 December.

The news was officially announced by Lissy in a press release. Earlier, there were rumours about their strained married life, however, their friends and actors, including Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal, among others reportedly intervened and settled the issues before.

After falling in love, the duo got married on 13 December 1990. Lissy, who was at the peak of her career, even converted to Hinduism and changed her name to Lakshmi. Their children Kalyani and Siddharth are now studying in New York and San Francisco, respectively.

There are a few other high profile divorces from the entertainment industry this year.

Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne Khan

The divorce of the A-listed couple of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan, shocked the fans. They were granted a divorce by a family court on 1 November 2014. The announcement comes nearly one year after the duo called off their 13-year-long marriage.

Rahul Roy-Rajalaxmi Khanvilkar

Actor Rahul Roy, who made a debut in "Aashique" (1990), decided to call it quits with his wife and model, Rajalaxmi Khanvilkar, after 14 years, citing compatibility issues. Though Rahul could not establish himself in the Bollywood industry, he was the winner of the controversial reality show "Bigg Boss" season one.

Dileep-Manju Warrier

The strained relationship of Mollywood's star-couple, Dileep and Manju Warrier, was doing the rounds for quite some time, even before they officially decided to call off their 14-year-long marriage. Ever since the actress planned to make a comeback by her dance performance in Guruvayoor, rumours started doing the rounds about their troubled marriage life. However, Manju, who was at the peak of her career in Malayalam when she married Dileep, made her comeback in Rosshan Andrews "How Old Are You?" opposite Kunchacko Boban.

Karishma Kapoor-Sanjay Kapur

Bollywood actress Karishma Kapoor got separated with her husband and industrialist, Sanjay Kapur, after 11-years of their marriage. The couple had reportedly separated seven years ago, but filed a legal notice only recently. They have two kids, Sameiera Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

Anurag Kashyap-Kalki Koechilin

Film-maker Anurag Kashyap and actress Kalki Koechilin recently ended up their two-year-old marriage, issuing a joint statement. "We are not filing for divorce, we are taking time off from each other to sort out our issues." However, "Bombay Talkies" director is now reportedly dating his assistant director, Sabrina Khan.

Karan Singh Grover-Jennifer Winget

TV stars Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget also decided to call off their two-year-old marriage. However, a mutual friend of the couple blames Karan's philandering attitude as the main cause for their split. Jennifer, who has been staying away from her husband, has recently confirmed their separation.
