Director Sujith Vaassudev has announced that the entire team of upcoming Malayalam movie "James and Alice" has wrapped up its shooting Thursday, March 31. The filmmaker also revealed that they are planning to release the Prithviraj Sukumaran and Vedhika starrer April 29 in Kerala.
"James and Alice. Shoot finished. Planning to release by April 29 (sic)," Sujith Vaassudev posted on his Facebook page.
In the upcoming movie, Prithviraj will be seen in two different avatars — one as a modern, young man with a ponytail and another in a salt-and-pepper avatar with a sharp hairstyle. The looks of the actor from the movie have already become a trend in Kerala and have raised the curiosity of the audience.
Prithviraj plays the role of an artist, who later works in the advertising field. Vedhika plays the role of a banker named Alice, who gets married to James against her parents' wishes. The incidents that happen in the life of Prithviraj's character James before and after his marriage are being narrated in the upcoming family entertainer. Sources close to the movie also hint that "James and Alice" will deal with the misunderstandings that happen between the couple due to their busy lives.
"James and Alice" marks the reunion of Prithviraj and Vedhika after Vasanthabalan's superhit Tamil movie "Kaaviya Thalaivan" in 2014. The upcoming movie, scripted by Dr S Janardhanan, is being produced by Dr S Sajikumar and Krishnan Sethukumar under the banner of Dharmik Films. It also has Nedumudi Venu, Sai Kumar, Manju Pillai and Sijoy Varghese in significant roles.
