Malayalam film "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" directed by Anil Radhakrishnan Menon is all set to release on 5 September. The film stars Prithviraj, Asif Ali, Nedumudi Venu, Neeraj Madhav, Sudheer Karamana, Salaam Bhukari and Chemban Vinod in the lead.
The tongue-twisting title of the film has already gone popular. "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" is a Sanskrit word, which translates to the term seven gentlemen thieves. The tagline of the film is "Aishwaryamulla Kallanmar".
The film is said to be a satirical film mixed with lot of humour. The team had already released a promo video of people trying to say the word "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha", which has already gone popular.
The makers of film had also released a teaser, which introduces the main characters of the film. The teaser is set with the back ground score of traditional "Chenda Melam" and also assures audience to look forward for a visual treat.
It introduces major characters including Krishnanunni played by Prithviraj, Shahab played by Asif Ali, Noblettan played by Nedumudi Venu and Narayanankutty played by Neeraj Madhav, Salaam played by Salaam Bhukhari, Vasu played by Sudheer Karamana and Marty played by Chemban Vinod.
The first look of the film also introduces various festivals of Kerala including "Pulikali" and other temple festivals. The story of the film is set in Thrissur. The film will also see the regional slang being popularised again. Thrissur slang has been featured before in films like "Thoovanathumpikal" and "Pranchiyettan & The Saint".
This is Anil Radhakrishnan's second film as director. His first film "North 24 Kaatham", starring Fahadh Faasil, Nedumudi Venu and Swathi Reddy in the lead, had won many awards.
The star cast of "Sapthamashree Thaskaraha" also includes Mangolian circus artiste Flower Battsetseg, Reenu Mathews, Joy Mathew and Sanusha in pivotal roles. Reenu Mathews will shed her image from a typical house wife looks to a bold working woman in the film. Sanusha will play a bold and mature nurse in the film and will be seen in a no-makeup look.
The cinematography of the film is done by Jayesh Nair who had also worked in "North 24 Kaatham". Editing is done by Manoj Kannoth and music is composed by Rex Vijayan.
It is produced by Santhosh Sivan, Shaji Nadesan and Prithviraj under the banner of August Cinemas.
