The much-awaited movie, "Double Barrel", has been scheduled to be released around February next year.
The film caught attention for its star cast, which include Prithviraj, Arya, Indrajith, Swati Reddy, Asif Ali and Isha Sharwani. The team was tight-lipped about the movie till date and this led to many speculations regarding the film.
There were rumours that "Double Barrel" had run into trouble as it crossed the expected budget. Meanwhile, the director of the movie, Lijo Jose Pellissery has now confirmed that everything about the movie went fine. He also added that the film is currently at its post-production phase.
"The shoot of Double Barrel got over without any hitches and only the post-production work remains. The release will happen next year, February. Budget has never been an issue for this film; it was what the film demanded, though of course, it is a big film. But we don't want to project it as a big film. We want it to speak for itself, on screen," said the Lijo Jose to The Times of India
He also asserted on the fact that each actor believed and trusted the director's vision and that according to him is the USP of the movie.
"Double Barrel" is touted as a comedy thriller and has a huge star cast including Sunny Wayne, Vijay Babu, Manu, Chemban Vinod, Anil Murali, Sahid Yahiya, Bineesh Kodiyeri, Pearle Maanye, Parvathi Menon and Sherrin Varghese.
The music is composed by Prashanth Pillai, who had worked in Lijo's earlier films while the cinematography will be handled by Abhinandhan Ramanujam. The film is produced jointly by August Cinemas Pvt Ltd and Amen Movie Monastery.
