Kate Middleton and Prince William's elder son Prince George and his nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo's uniform literally stole the show at Princess Charlotte's christening.
While the royal tot has been photographed looking busy socialising at the event, Borrallo's uniform has become the subject of criticism among fashion watchers who have mocked it for being outdated.
If one looks at all the photos from the christening event, it can be noticed how George is busy socialising, talking and having fun with his family members, especially great granny Queen Elizabeth. In fact, Charlotte's elder brother also has given the Queen a very cute nickname.
As a huge crowd waited outside Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, England, to get a glimpse of the new-born Princess, Mirror has managed to capture a video in which Prince George is seen holding Prince William's hands; the father-son duo, along with mother Kate Middleton, are seen heading back home from the church.
In one of the frames in the footage, George turns back to ensure that his great granny Queen Elizabeth is coming along with them. To this, Prince William assures him saying she is coming and they are all headed home.
"They're coming, they're all coming, we can go back to nanny's," Prince William is heard telling Prince George.
Going by what's heard in the clip, it looks like George adorably calls the Queen "nanny". Though Queen Elizabeth is his great-grandmother, the royal tot apparently addresses her with that name.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge's nanny Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo's traditional uniform — beige, long-pleated dress paired with a brown bowler hat and white gloves — has shocked fashion watchers across the globe.
According to The Telegraph, Jenna Clarke from Sydney's Daily Telegraph said that Maria looked like someone out of community theatre's production of Mary Poppins. She went to add, "The nanny... resembled a lukewarm latte picked up from a roadside fuel station."
Borrallo was also described as a "right Royal fashion victim" by the publication.
Well, it looks like Kate Middleton and Prince William have a lot of buzz to catch up on after Princess Charlotte's christening.
