American actress Meghan Markle, the 35-year-old divorcee who has stolen Prince Harry's heart, is the talk of the town. There are rumours now that Markle could end up getting engaged to Prince Harry soon. A royal source was quoted as saying that he was 'happier than he has been for many years'.
But the Suits actress, who could end up becoming a Princess in the UK, seems to have no clue of British culture! Early in 2016, the actress was quizzed on 'Britishisms,' but ended up answering only four out of the 15 questions correctly. With such a dismal test result, Markle said, "I think I lost. I think I was the worst at this game."
The actress was asked what in Cockney rhyming slang what 'apples and pears' meant. When she realised what it meant, she said she would use that 'later'. She also couldn't name the national animals of England or Scotland
The story is that Markle and Prince Harry first met six months back and the 32-year-old Prince became totally besotted with her. She met him in Toronto, where she lives, when he was promoting the Invictus Games. Since then, Markle has flown to London in September and in October. It's stated that Markle also met Prince Charles on one of her visits to London. She has met Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie as well. The only time she would meet with the Queen is if she were to marry Harry.
Markle was married to a film producer earlier and they divorced in 2014. There are precedents of royals marrying a divorcee, but whether this romance will end in marriage is the big question. She is a UN advocate and also a style blogger with over a million followers on Instagram.
