New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi
presented the National Awards for Bravery to 24
children from across the country ahead of Republic Day
celebrations in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion,
the Prime Minister said the children had shown courage
in the face of adversity and could not stop themselves
from acting with valor, adding that they had inspired
many others in the society. Modi commended the awardees
for their selfless act. He urged the children to work
towards their goals and dreams relentlessly. Of the 24
children, there are eight girls and 16 boys. Four will
be honoured with the award posthumously. The Minister
for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi, was
also present on the occasion. The awardees are invited
to New Delhi for the award and also participate in the
Republic Day parade on January 26.
