The previous episode of Freeform's "Pretty Little Liars" saw Caleb revealing to his significant other, Spencer, that he kissed his ex girlfriend Hanna before she got kidnapped. This clearly came as a shock to Spencer and it looked like she ended things with Caleb. But that doesn't mean the show is done with Spencer-Caleb-Hanna love triangle.
The next episode titled "Hit and Run, Run, Run" will see Spencer coping with Caleb's indiscretion in a way that she might regret later, and speculations are rife that it could involve Toby, who got engaged to Yvonne in the previous episode. It remains to be seen if Spencer will come in between Toby and Yvonne.
Elsewhere in the episode, viewers will see the already fragile relationships of the Liars being put to test when they are forced to keep the secret of Elliot's death. The character was killed off in the previous episode, but according to Huw Collins, viewers haven't seen the last of Dr Rollins. He might be featured in flashbacks to explain why and how Rollins got involved with Mary Drake's plan.
"This is a personal perspective, but I think it would be really useful and interesting to see where this darkness of Elliott and Mary and their team originated from," Collins told Entertainment Weekly. "Anytime a character is so extreme, like Elliott has been, I think you always feel like you want to know why he was so extreme about it. Otherwise, it's a motive-less action."
The synopsis for Tuesday's episode reads:
The PLLs desperately attempt to cover up their secret, and in turn, end up straining their relationships with their respective bed buddies by keeping them in the dark. While the aftermath of Haleb's kiss weighs on Spaleb's relationship, Spencer copes in ways she might later regret. Mona intervenes with the cover-up plan, for better or worse.
"Pretty Little Liars" airs Tuesdays on Freeform.
