The previous episode of "Pretty Little Liars" saw the Liars finally realising that Charles is not dead, thanks to a vital piece of information Mona gave them regarding Lesli's time at Radley.
The Liars' assumption that Lesli was A was proved wrong when Mona revealed that her friend did not know Charles during her time at the sanitarium. Lesli has only heard his name mentioned, that too when Charles and Bethany Young escaped from Radley.
This was somewhat around the time Charles was already presumed to be dead, and the previous episode proved to the Liars that Charles faked his death to escape the sanitarium.
The 21 July episode entitled "O Brother, Where Art Thou" will see Charles causing more trouble for the Liars. In a letter to Mr DiLaurentis Charles revealed that he was coming home for his birthday, and Jason will see this as a perfect opportunity to know more about his brother. Spencer and Hanna, too, grab this chance to capture their tormentor. But things won't go as planned.
The synopsis for "FrAmed," the eight episode of season 6, states that "after their latest run-in with Charles, tensions are at an all-time high with the PLLs and the town of Rosewood."
This will result in Ella keeping Aria under house arrest in a bid to keep her safe, and Hanna suspecting there is something fishy behind her "unexpected scholarship money."
They will also be prevented from going for prom due to security reasons.
Meanwhile, someone who will be having a tough time dealing with Charles' truth will be his younger sister Alison. According to the synopsis, Alison will find it hard to "connect a deranged murderer to the young blonde haired boy she sees in the photos and in her memories."
There are just a few more episodes to go before the truth about Charles and his identity is finally revealed in the mid-season finale episode entitled "Game Over, Charles."
"Pretty Little Liars" is aired on Tuesdays on ABC Family.
