President Pranab Mukherjee's wife Suvra Mukherjee, who has been ill for quite some time, passed away on Tuesday morning, according to reports.
"Suvra Mukherjee died after a cardiac arrest. She was on ventilator till the time of her death," Army's Research And Referral Hospital PRO Sanjay Kumar told IANS.

Suvra Mukherjee was undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) in Delhi for a respiratory problem. She was admitted to the hospital on 8 August in critical condition.
"She was brought to the hospital with a respiratory problem. She is a heart patient and has been kept in the intensive care unit," a hospital spokesperson told IANS.
Her situation remained "very critical" even on Tuesday. "Her condition is very critical. This is all we can say at this point of time," a hospital source had told IANS.
Born in Bangladesh's Narail district, Surva Mukherjee married to Pranab Mukherjee on 13 July, 1957. The couple have three children, Abhijit Mukherjee, Indrajit Mukherjee and Sharmistha Mukherjee.
