There has been a lot of rumours regarding the Telugu remake of hit Malayalam film "Premam". The latest we hear is that actor Ram Pothineni is set to play Nivin Pauly's lead role in the remake.
It looks like the young actor, who had a great run at the box office with "Pandaga Chesko", is set for another blockbuster by being part of the remake. Reports are that the Telugu remake right of the film is grabbed by Ram's uncle Sravanthi Ravi Kishore for a fancy price.
Sources claim that Ram might begin shooting of the movie by January 2016 as he is reportedly busy till the end of this year.
Meanwhile, "Premam", which had a successful run at the box office around the world, is much noticed for the making style of director Alphonse Putharen. Film-goers are in fact waiting to see the mood and setting of the film when it is remade in other languages as the original version has a strong identity and connotations to the culture and lifestyle in Kerala.
"Premam", which is about the love life of a man from his teenage days till he gets married, was also notable for the performances of the actors. The film introduced a bunch of new actors to Malayalam cinema including the three leading ladies.
The movie had an impressive star cast consisting of Anupama Parameswaran, Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Shankar, Vinay Forrt, Maniyanpilla Raju, Jude Anthany Joseph, Wilson Joseph, Ananth Nag and Renji Paniker in noticeable roles.
