Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor starrer "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (PRDP) has achieved a milestone at the worldwide box office with its gross opening weekend (four-day) income. The film has simultaneously shattered the four-day worldwide box office collection record of SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali).
The four-day gross worldwide opening weekend box office collection of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is Rs 250 crore and the film has shattered the records of "Baahubali" with a huge margin.
Said to be one of the biggest releases, "Baahubali" earned Rs 213 crore in four-days from the worldwide box office, while "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" total stands at Rs 250 crore.
"#PremRatanDhanPayo India nett: ₹ 129.77 cr. India gross: ₹ 191 cr... Overseas: $ 8.9 million [₹ 59 cr]. Worldwide gross: ₹ 250 cr. AWESOME!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Interestingly, Salman's film is the fastest Rs 250 crore worldwide grosser, beating the previous records held by "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Dhoom 3" and other movies. The film is now inching towards Rs 300 crore gross total.
Meanwhile, at the domestic box office "PRDP" has shattered the net earnings record of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" (Rs 129.64 crore), "Dhoom 3" (Rs 129.32 crore), "Happy New Year" (Rs 123.86 crore) and "PK" (Rs 116.43 crore).
The domestic net income of "PRDP" is Rs 129.77 crore, which is now the highest.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film features Salman, Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Anupam Kher, Deepak Dobriyal and Armaan Kohli in important roles.
Note: The box office figures of "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" and "Baahubali" are compared using the gross income and not net income.
