Salman Khan starrer "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (PRDP) released its first song 'Prem Leela' today.
The song is a treat to the audience for Dusshera. Earlier, songs like "Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje" and "Nagada Sang Dhol", were considered to be Bollywood's best Navratri tracks.
This time, it seems Sooraj Barjatya will create the Navratri atmosphere with the first song of the film.
Like 'Selfie Le Le' marked the entry of Salman in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", 'Prem Leela' is the entry song of the actor in "PRDP". The song introduces the character of 'Prem' in the film.
"I specially asked Himeshji to compose the song, Prem Leela for Salman Bhai. This song underlines the innocence and large heartedness of Prem. I'm completely smitten by the song and really glad with the way the song has turned out," Sooraj Barjatya said.
Whether the song succeeds in becoming one of the best Navratri tracks or not is something only time will tell.
The trailer of "PRDP" was recently released and within a few days it became the most popular trailer on YouTube. It has currently amassed over 9 million views.
Though the trailer hints that the flick is like any other Sooraj Barjatya family drama film, it is different from his previous movies.
This time, the audience will see more colour and, interestingly, fighting sequences in the flick.
In the movie, the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor will play a double role -- one as a common man and the other as a prince. The trailer also gave a glimpse of the two characters played by Salman.
Director Barjatya and Salman have teamed up for "PRDP" after 16 years.
Being produced by Rajshri Productions, the family drama is set to be released on 12 November.
The film, which will feature Sonam Kapoor as a princess, also has Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher, Armaan Kohli, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.
