Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" (PRDP) has opened to positive response from audiences as well as critics. Early reviews from movie buffs suggest that the film is a must watch.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo movie review
According to critics, "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is the biggest blockbuster film of Salman. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film is a family drama with Salman playing the double role.
The story of the film is similar to that of the popular tale "The Prince and the Pauper", and here Salman plays the role of a king and a common man.
The king wants to lead a normal life away from his kingdom, while his evil brother (played by Neil Nitin Mukesh) wants to take away the throne from him.
However, things change when the king exchanges his identity with a common man, who looks like him.
The film also features Sonam Kapoor in the female lead role, who plays the role of a royal princess Maithili, who is in love with Salman.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" also features Anupam Kher, Armaan Kohli, Deepak Dobriyal and Swara Bhaskar in pivotal roles.
Written and directed by Sooraj, the film is produced by Rajshri Productions and distributed by Fox Star Studios. Check out Salman, Sonam's diwali celebration in photos

Ritika Handoo of Zeenews.com said: "The opening is grand completely in sync with Sooraj Barjatya's style #PremRatanDhanPayo. The story is a bit hard to digest in today's time in #PremRatanDhanPayo Supporting actors have done a great job in #PremRatanDhanPayo. Swara Bhaskar is again impressive in #PremRatanDhanPayo"
Sreeju Sudhakaran of BollywoodLife.com said: "The film is reminiscent of the 90s, even the songs, so it's a nostalgic trip for many who feel today's films are dark. Sonam Kapoor looks pretty, while the rest of the cast, including Anupam Kher, Deepak Dobriyal, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, provides able support."
