Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo"is already a hit even before hitting the silver screens. The family drama has earned over 70 percent of its production cost before its release.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" a big budget film made on a production cost of Rs 80 crore, including print and advertising. And after selling the music rights and satellite rights, the film recovered Rs 57 crore.
Now the remaining production cost, which sums up to Rs 23 crore, will be earned through its box office run. And if all goes well and the film manages to earn as expected, then it will earn the remaining production cost of Rs 23 crore.
Also, Salman has not charged fees for "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". Considering it is Sooraj Barjatya's film, Salman has worked for free in "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is a family drama directed by Sooraj. The film marks the return of hit Jodi of Salman and Sooraj. The director-actor have previously given blockbuster family dramas, including "Hum Aapke Hai Kaun" and "Hum Saath Saath Hai".
And the hit jodi is back with another family drama "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". The film features Salman in a double role, while Sonam Kapoor in the female lead role.
The film will be released on silver screen on 12 November, a day after Diwali.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo"is Salman's second release this year, after "Bajrangi Bhaijaan". His Eid release "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has become his highest grosser and the second biggest earner Bollywood film.
However, moviegoers believe that Salman's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will break the record of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" at the domestic box office to emerge his highest grosser.
