The advance booking of the much-awaited film of 2015 "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" started with a bang on 7 November.
The makers of the film opened the pre-booking ticket counter five days before the release of the Salman Khan starrer. Salman's film will open in theaters on 12 November (Thursday) and the advance booking started on Saturday.
The tickets sales started in Mumbai, National Capital Region (NCR), Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and other circuits across India on Saturday and theatres have already started to fill up.
Within hours, the film received phenomenal response across the country. Tickets of several shows sold out within hours of opening the advance booking counter.
In several theaters, especially single screens, all the opening day shows tickets are sold out, while at other places the occupancy is filling fast. In NCR and Mumbai, several single show tickets are sold out. The response in Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad is comparatively lower than other circuits, but it is expected to pick up before the release of the film.
Looking at the opening day advance booking status, one can say that "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" will have grand start at the box office.
Meanwhile, Salman, who is busy promoting the movie, said that "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" is probably his largest budget film.
"This film would be perhaps the largest budget film that I have done, he (Sooraj Barjatya) is not worried for it, I am worried for him but when you see the movie, you wanna see it again," Salman said.
Starring Salman, the film is helmed by Sooraj Barjatya. It also features Sonam Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal and Armaan Kohli in pivotal roles.
