Putting all speculations to rest, actor Kabir Bedi confirmed on Twitter that "Kal Ho Na Ho" actress Preity Zinta has tied the knot with Gene Goodenough.
Preity got married to boyfriend Goodenough, who is a Senior Vice President of Finance in a US-based hydroelectric power company, in a hush-hush ceremony in Los Angeles, Feb.28.
"It was a traditional Hindu ceremony with a pandit conducting all the rituals, including pheras, and took place in an outdoor mandap with the glittering LA skyline as the backdrop. Preity's mother oversaw the entire arrangement," a source from the venue told Mumbai Mirror.
DJ Amara, a popular LA-based artist, posted a photo on his Instagram account from the venue. However, he deleted the photo after it went viral on social media platforms. "What a beautiful night to celebrate love. #Indianwedding #djamara #stunningview #outdoorwedding," DJ amara tweeted.
The wedding was a private affair with only relatives and friends attending it. Preity's friends from the industry, including jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, Sussanne Khan and socialite-fashion designer friend Surily Goel, attended the wedding.
The actress has planned a big reception party for her industry friends in April. Bollywood celebrities, including Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan are expected to attend the event.
"A big fat Rajput-style reception is being planned in Mumbai for April where Preity will introduce her husband to the film industry. Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz Khan, along with Hrithik Roshan, Bobby Deol, Abhishek Bachchan and other celebrities are on the guest list," a source close to Preity told Mirror.
