Akhil Akkineni, who was seen in a cameo in "Manam", is debuting as a hero in V V Vinayak's next venture. As per some reports, the film is all set to beat distribution right records set by Bellamkonda Srinivas' "Alludu Seenu".
The news about Akhil Akkineni's hero debut has been creating a lot of buzz in the media much before he made a guest appearance in the blockbuster movie, "Manam".
On 16, December, 2014, the budding actor announced his debut movie on his Twitter page. Ever since, the yet-to-be-titled movie has been making it to the headlines for several reasons.
The makers of the movie are planning to release it in theatres across the globe in October 2015. The hype surrounding the film has generated a great amount of demand for its rights. It is reported that several leading distribution houses are in a race for its theatrical rights for various regions.
Meanwhile, according to latest reports, distribution rights for a few areas have already been sold out for record prices. A leading distribution company has acquired the rights for Andhra region for a whopping Rs 18 crore, reports 123Telugu. Experts from the industry say that this is the highest price paid for the theatrical rights of a debut Telugu hero's film in the region.
As per the movie portal, Akhil Akkineni's debut film is expected to get a record price for its distribution rights in Nizam and Ceded regions.
Akhil's brother Naga Chaitanya's debut film "Josh" had set a new record with the sale of its distribution rights for a huge amount.
"Alludu Seenu" has fetched Rs 30 crore from the sale of its theatrical rights and it is said to be the highest price for a film of a debut hero in Tollywood. Reports say that Akhil Akkineni's debut movie is likely to beat this record and set its own benchmark.
