The Karnataka police on Saturday arrested Mohammed Imtiaz Gantalkatte from Mumbai in connection with the murder of a Bajrang Dal leader, said reports.
Imtiaz was arrested from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, from where he was reportedly trying to flee to Dubai.
Bajrang Dal leader Prashant Poojary was hacked to death by knife-wielding motorists after he campaigned for the shutdown of a slaughterhouse in Dakshin Kannada's Moodabidri area.
Nine people, inlcuding Imitiaz, have been arrested in connection with the murder so far. Earlier, the police had arrested Mohammed Sharief, Mohammed Kavoor, Mohammed Mustafa and Kabir, who had direct involvement in the case.
ADGP Alok Mohan told media that more people are yet to be arrested in connection with the murder.
