Superstar Mohanlal's son Pranav is all set to make a grand entry to the Malayalam entertainment industry with the upcoming movie of director Jeethu Joseph. As nothing much about the film or Pranav's character has been unveiled yet, the veteran actor has now come ahead to give a bit of information.
Mohanlal revealed that his son is thrilled to learn parkour for the character he plays in the Jeethu directorial. Parkour is a training discipline using movement that developed from military obstacle course training.
"For Pranav, the basics of parkour would be easier than for most people as he is used to gymnastics, skydiving and rock climbing. In fact, even now he does gymnastics. So, he has that fluid body language that will help him learn parkour. I think that's why he chose this movie as he might have felt it suited his skills," Mohanlal told the Times of India.
Expectations are sky high from the upcoming movie as Pranav has already proved his talent in acting in Malayalam movie Punarjani, for which he bagged the prestigious Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artiste in 2002. He also made a cameo appearance in a song in Mohanlal's Sagar Alias Jackie Reloaded in 2009. Before making his acting debut as a lead hero, the star kid had assisted Jeethu in his previous movies, including Life of Josutty and Papanasam.
The big entry of Pranav as a hero has been the much awaited news in Mollywood after megastar Mammootty's son Dulquer Salmaan made a mark in South India. It was Mohanlal, who announced about his son's debut movie via a Facebook post on September 30.
Pranav Mohanlal is ready to begin his career as an actor. He will be playing the lead role in the movie directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor. This movie is of thriller genre after Drishyam, from Aashirvad Cinemas," Mohanlal had said.
