Prakash Raj has landed in controversy after walking out of an interview with a TV channel after he was asked a question related to the Cauvery water issue involving Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The video of the actor expressing his anger has now gone viral.
The interview was in fact for his upcoming movie Idolle Ramayana. When Prakash Raj was asked about his views on the ongoing Cauvery row, the actor got irked and slammed the TV channel for unnecessarily dragging him into a controversial issue.
"I am here to talk about my cinema. It is a political issue and not a minor problem like you assume. It's not just about water and don't drag me into such issue," Prakash Raj fumed during the interview. He told the anchor that she should not be asking such questions as it is not the right time.
The upset actor asked the cameraman to record what he was saying and said, "Please be responsible and don't try to create controversy." He stormed off the sets of the interview before telling the anchor that they should not approach him for interviews anymore.
Prakash Raj is gearing up for the release of Idolle Ramayana, which has Priyamani in the female lead role. The actor himself has directed the flick, which has Ilaiyaraja's music.
