Prabhu Deva, who has been away from Tamil industry for quite a long time, is now set to make a comeback as a producer. The latest news is that the choreographer-turned-filmmaker is set to produce a Lakshman directorial, starring Jayam Ravi and Vijay Sethupathi.
Though an official confirmation is awaited, sources claim the news to be true. The film is said to be a fun-filled entertainer and makers of the film are yet to announce rest of the star cast.
Coming to the technical aspects, reports have said that S Soundar Rajan, who did cinematography for the recently released "Romoe Juliet", will handle camera while D Imman will compose music.
Lakshman had worked with Jayam Ravi in the recent romantic comedy, "Romeo Juliet". The latter is awaiting the release of "Thani Oruvan" with Nayanthara, "Appa Takkaru" and "Bhooloham" with Trisha.
At the same time, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting release of "Orange Mittai", in which he will portray the character of a 55-year-old man and the posters and songs of the film have managed to create a positive buzz. He also has films like "Naanum Rowdydhaan" directed by Vignesh Shivan, "Iraivi" directed by Karthik Subbaraj and untitled projects by Nalan Kumaraswamy and SU Arun Kumar.
Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva has two big-budget directorials in the pipeline. He had recently wrapped up the shooting of Bollywood film "Singh is Bling", starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead. Reports are also that he has signed Vijay for a new Tamil film.
