Blockbuster multilingual movie Baahubali: The Beginning and Nivin Pauly's Malayalam drama film Action Hero Biju will be re-released in Kerala this weekend.

The magnum opus action thriller Baahubali, directed by SS Rajamouli, which was initially released in July 2015, will be screened at 7.15 pm at Cinepolis in Kochi's Centre Square Mall on October 22. The advance ticket booking option for the National Film Award winning Prabhas-starrer has been opened on BookMyShow and most of the premium tickets have already been occupied, at the time of reporting.

Global United Media, which had distributed the movie in Kerala had also re-released the SS Rajamouli directorial in the first week of July to celebrate its first anniversary. The movie stars Tammannah, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati in main roles.

Apart from Baahubali, the cop movie Action Hero Biju, helmed by Abrid Shine, will be screened in the multiplex for two days. The movie, which was initially released in Kerala on February 4, has been scheduled for 7.15 pm shows on October 21 and 23. The Nivin-starrer had opened to positive audience response and made tremendous collection of over Rs 30 crore after running successfully for more than 100 days at the Kerala box office.

Action Hero Biju, which narrates the day-to-day events that happen at a police station in Kerala, has an ensemble cast and newcomers including Anu Emmanuel, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Joju George, Rony Davis, Saiju Kurup, Vinduja, Devi Ajith, Jude Anthony Joseph, Abhija Sivakala, Meghanathan, Major Ravi, Parvathy, Rohini, Malavika and Sajan Palluruthy.
