Director Rajamouli of "Magadheera" fame released the video on 23 October as a birthday gift to Prabhas fans. The director didn't want to reveal Prabhas's look as the film will be hitting screens only in 2015. But he decided to release a small video owing to huge demand from fans. "As the release is quite a lng time away,I didn't want to release any thing yet.But Inhouse Prabhas fans frcd me in2a small making video ;)," Rajamouli had tweeted on his micro-blogging site Twitter.
The making trailer of Baahubali (Strongest) was trending online all day and the video went viral in just a few hours upon release. It received more than 3 lakh views in less than 24 hours and has crossed the 1 million mark within a few days.
"Baahubali" is deemed as the most expensive Telugu film ever to be made. According to reports, the film is being made on a whopping budget of ₹100 crore. Expectations are quite high for the film as Rajamouli's past releases have been major hits.
This is the second time that the director has teamed up with Prabhas after their 2005-blockbuster "Chatrapati." Anushka Shetty plays the female lead in the film, which also has Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Ramya Krishna, Kicha Sudeep, Adivi Sesh, Subba Raju, Rakesh Varre in supporting roles. The lead actors have reportedly learnt sword fighting and horse riding to perform stunt sequences in the film.
The period drama is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The film will also be dubbed in other languages including Malayalam, Hindi as well as several foreign languages.
