Baahubali (Bahubali) 2 has made Prabhas the nation's favourite star and the franchise's massive success have made him one of the most bankable actors. The recent buzz is that the hunk is now demanding a fee hike.
Post Baahubali 2 success, Prabhas wants a Rs. 5 crore hike in his fee, Bollywood Life reported. The actor's current fee is a whopping Rs. 25 crore, which he charged for Baahubali.
Does he deserve it? People who have seen his work in both parts of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali will surely agree Prabhas deserves the hike. He has devoted 5 years to the franchise and didn't sign a single film during this period.
"Prabhas has upped his fee by Rs 5 crore. He feels that it is only fair for him to demand the remuneration considering that he had given his 5 years to a movie that has turned out to be blockbuster like none other," Bollywood Life quoted an insider as saying. This means Prabhas will earn Rs. 30 crore per film in future.
The film has garnered Rs. 1000 crore at the box office and became the first Indian movie to achieve the feat.
According to an earlier report in Times Now, Prabhas, who played Baahubali, received a whopping Rs. 25 crore remuneration for the Baahubali series. Rana Daggubati, who played the mighty antagonist Bhallala Deva, was paid Rs. 15 crore for the film, while the leading ladies Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia received Rs. 5 crore each.
Katappa and Sivagami, played by Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, were reportedly paid Rs. 2 crore and Rs. 2.5 crore respectively. And the director SS Rajamouli, without whom Baahubali wouldn't have been possible, earned Rs. 28 crore for making the film.
