A 7.5-magnitude earthquake jolted 139 km south of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 k.m, was initially determined to be at 5.6 degrees south latitude and 152.1 degrees east longitude.
Recently, massive earthquake of 7.9 magnitude jolted Nepal, which killed more than 5000 people in the country.
