Ravi Teja's upcoming film "Power," which was slated to hit the screens on 29 August, has been pushed to 5 September.
The delay has now paved way for Jr NTR's "Rabhasa" to have a solo release on 29 August. Originally, "Rabhasa" was scheduled to release on 15 August to cash in on the long Independence Day weekend. But the delay in the post-production work has apparently pushed the film to release on 29 August for Ganesh Chaturthi festival weekend.
If the makers of the mass entertainer had retained the same release date, it would have locked horns with "Power." However, it has been officially confirmed that the Teja starrer will be released on 5 September.
Now, as the clash has been averted, both the films are set for a solo big release within a span of one week.
Directed by K. S. Ravindra, "Power" has Teja appearing in the role of a cop. Hansika Motwani and Regina Cassandra are the female leads in the mass entertainer. The film's music is composed by Thaman, while cinematography is handled by Arthur A. Wilson and Jayanan Vincent. The action entertainer is produced by the Rockline Entertainments banner.
Teja has a huge fan base among the Telugu-speaking audience. With "Power" gearing up for a solo release, it is likely to take good openings at the box office.
However, it might face strong competition from "Rabhasa," which will be released after a week. Being a Jr NTR film, it is sure to take grand openings upon its release. The Ganesh Chaturthi long weekend is likely to help the film to perform good business at the box office. If the family drama manages to impress the audience, it will continue its successful run at the box office and might affect the business of "Power."
Directed by Santhosh Srinivas, "Rabhasa" has Jr NTR in yet another action avatar. The film has Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Pranitha as the female leads. While Samantha has teamed up with NTR for the third time after "Brindavanam" and "Ramayya Vastavayya," Pranitha has shared the screen space for the first time with the young tiger of the Telugu cinema.
The film's soundtracks are composed by Thaman, while camera work is wielded by Shyam K. Naidu and is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.
