German luxury carmaker Porsche has introduced the most affordable Macan variant in India priced at Rs 76.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The new variant is powered by a 2.0-litre engine. With the smaller capacity engine, new Macan variant invites lower import price. Hence, Porsche has been able to price the new Macan variant aggressively.
The in-line four-cylinder engine in the new Macan variant develops 248hp and 370Nm of torque mated to seven-speed PDK auto gearbox transmitting power to all four wheels. The SUV has a claimed 0-100kmph acceleration time of 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 229kmph. With an unladen weight of 1,770kg, the Macan is the lightest SUV from Porsche.
The SUV boasts of Porsche Communication Management (PCM) as standard. The SUV also features Porsche Traction Management (PTM) that comprises of an electronic and map-controlled multi-plate clutch, automatic brake differential (ABD) and anti-slip regulation (ASR). Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) automatically regulates the damper force on the front and rear axles depending on the road condition and driving style.

New Macan model is the fourth variant in Macan's portfolio, others being the Macan S diesel, Macan Turbo and Macan Turbo, with Performance Package.
