Vishal Pandya's "Hate Story 3" has been in the news for quite some time. The latest development is, Gurmeet Choudhary has replaced Sharman Joshi and will now share screen space with Karan Singh Grover.
"The dates are not matching so I can't accommodate this film even though I'd like to. The schedule is clashing with two of my other films," Mumbai Mirror quoted Joshi as saying.
While the decision may have been mutual, Joshi opting out of the film has a lot to do with his goody two-shoes onscreen image.
"Yes, Sharman isn't doing Hate Story 3. It was a mutual decision. After the final script, we realised that Sharman just didn't fit the role which was initially offered to him. We have replaced him with TV superstar Gurmeet Choudhary," Pandya further elaborated.
This seemed obvious because a few weeks ago it was reported that the erotic thriller would be high on explicit content and would require the actors to shape up.
In other news, while Zarine Khan was zeroed in on by the makers, it was Salman Khan's influence which landed Daisy Shah a role in the film.
The "Jai Ho" actress was waiting for the right offers to come by when the producer went on a parallel leading lady hunt for "Hate Story 3".
"Around the same time, Bhushan (producer Bhushan Kumar) was looking for a parallel lead in Hate Story 3. He shares a great relationship with Salman and on his insistence, bounced off a narration to Daisy, who agreed to come on board. This will be her second film after Jai Ho that released over a year ago," the daily quoted a source as saying.
Additionally, this will be Karan's second erotic flick after "Alone" with Bipasha Basu.
