The "Baby One More Time" hit maker is among many Hollywood celebrities who have expressed their love for India and its varied culture. But, the recent buzz about her being an admirer of the controversial godwoman has surprised many of her fans.
A devotee of Radhe Maa, Manoj Nayak, was surprised to notice that Spears is following him on Twitter. He wrote: "lo, just got to know that real @britneyspears is following me. Another Raadhe Ma fan?"
The account holder mentioned about the popular music sensation on the timeline of his account, "Radhe Maa Bhakt", once again recently. "Wondering what should I write in a DM to Britney," he tweeted.
However, since the social media account does not belong to the controversial Indian godwoman, it is not clear if the celeb is a secret admirer of her.
Radhe Maa is a self-proclaimed Indian spiritual leader, who stays in Borivali suburb of Mumbai. She has been in the news for the past few weeks due to several controversies, including her inappropriate approach towards her devotees during spiritual meetings.
The controversial godwoman captured the attention of media after several images of her wearing mini skirt went viral on social media.
