Shruti Haasan, who is currently busy with her Bollywood projects, is one of the most sought after actresses down South. Kamal Haasan's daughter has struck gold in Indian film industry without the support of her multi-faceted father and she seems to be in no mood to work with him currently.
Talking about sharing screen space with Kamal Haasan, Shruti says that she would love it, but not ready for it right now.
"I'm not. I would love to, I would be honoured to. And I would love to work with him not because he's my father, but because he's one of my favourite artists, I genuinely mean that. Itni mehnat se, I have come here on my own so I need to wait a little more and then I'll work with him," DNA quoted the actress as saying.
Shruti Haasan, who was last seen Telugu films like "Race Gurram" and "Aagadu", is now eagerly waiting for the release of her much-hyped Tamil movie "Poojai", which is slated to hit the screens as a Diwali treat on 22 October. She will be seen opposite popular actor Vishal Krishna in the film.
The actress has three big-budget films like "Gabbar", "Yaara" and "Rocky Handsome" in her kitty. She is currently busy shooting for director Anees Bazmee's upcoming Bollywood film, "Welcome Back", which is a sequel to Akshay Kumar's blockbuster, "Welcome". In this film, she is working with Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia, who have worked with her father in the past.
Shruti Haasan is playing a girl Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor's rakhi sister Ranjana in "Welcome Back" and her character is the "centre of chaos".
"My dad is very happy that I am working in 'Welcome Back'. All of them have been so lovely with me. And he has worked with Paresh sir and Naseer sir. He and Anil sir have a mutual respect for each other and he absolutely adores Dimple ma'am since he has worked with her before," she told DNA India.
