Diwali is three days away but former Miss India turned actress Pooja Chopra was in festive mood on Tuesday, as she participated in a radio station's game show specially put up for the festival of lights. She also donated the prizes towards a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that works for the welfare of girl children.
Pooja Chopra visited the 92.7 BIG FM studios on Tuesday to participate in 'BIG Socho...BIG Jeeto' game show, curated especially for Diwali. She won some attractive prizes in the show but gave them away to girl children associated with Project Crayons, an NGO involved in several areas of social work.
The charming actress also interacted with children, inquired about their dreams, aspirations and how they wished to celebrate this festival of lights. She also lit diyas with the kids.
"I am extremely thankful to 92.7 BIG FM for inviting me to be a part of this event. I have always worked for the welfare of girl child from my beauty pageant days and this initiative is close to my heart. Donating my prizes to children from Project Crayon gave me immense pleasure and am hoping this will be a good start to their Diwali," Chopra told reporters.
'BIG Socho...BIG Jeeto' game show is a national campaign, which was launched recently on 92.7 BIG FM to give listeners an opportunity to win big prizes by answering a set of five questions, with the option to donate their win for a good cause this Diwali. Listeners, including big personalities from all walks of life, have been participating in the game since 28 October.
