"Happy New Year" director Farah Khan, who turned 50 on Friday (9 January), threw a grand birthday bash on Thursday at her residence in Lokhand Wala in Mumbai.
There were reports that Farah would celebrate her birthday with her actor-cousin Farhan Akhtar as they both share the same birthday. Though it is not confirmed, Akhtar was present with Farah's family at the star-studded party. The party had to be big as the director-choreographer was celebrating a milestone birthday.
But, within a short time, the celebration turned sour when the police arrived at Farah's place. It is said that neighbours complained of loud noise because of the celebration. The birthday girl had to pay fine of₹ 5000 and the locality secretary was taken to the police station for interrogation.
Fortunately, things settled down after sometime and it seemed the birthday bash went on well. Several celebs including Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sonu Sood and Sajid Khan attended the birthday bash.
The stars were in their best outfits. Farah, who is now hosting "Bigg Boss 8" after Salman Khan left, was looking pretty in pink suit. Padukone, as usual, looked stunning in a chiffon white dress with nude colour sling bag. Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai charmed the evening in her dress with matching footwear. Katrina was in a casual look wearing white tank and denims of same colour. All the celebs were seen having a gala time at the star-studded party.
The birthday girl also expressed her feelings on turning 50 on her Twitter account.
