Polaris All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) can now be purchased online through the popular e-commerce website, Snapdeal.
The online retailer website has listed 18 models of the off-road vehicles, ranging from Outlaw 50 at Rs. 2.86 lakh to RZR XP Turbo at Rs. 28 lakh. According to the website, any of the listed models can be booked online with a minimum down-payment of Rs.3,000 and those once booked cannot be cancelled. Once the bookings is confirmed and accepted by the dealers, the next step is the documentation and payment. While making the booking, customers can also choose the dealership centre of their convenience.
Snapdeal, which has created a separate category for automobiles to make the search easier, has also tied up with TVS Motors, Hero, Honda and Suzuki to sell scooter and motorcycles.
Buying vehicles online is gaining momentum in India. Popular UV-maker Mahindra and Mahindra had partnered with Snapdeal for selling the Scorpio when it was launched. Mahindra also joined hands with e-retailers like Flipkart to sell their compact SUV offering, the KUV100.
In India, Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car-maker, and the popular two-wheeler maker Bajaj also sell their models through the online retailer, Flipkart. Chevrolet had also India tied up with Amazon India for accepting bookings of its latest SUV, the Trailblazer, for the first five days after the launch.
