Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have its own set of competitions every now and then and players usually end up with some goodie or the other.

The Battle of Hoenn Competition is one such competition that is being held online using the game's Pokemon Global Link. This competition gives opportunity to the trainers in Pokemon ORAS to battle against others in the game.

The Battle of Hoenn Competition will be giving out a special Pokemon, Rock Head Tyrunt, for all the participants in the competition. The Tyrunt Pokemon has the Rock Head ability, a rare kind of ability that allows it to use Head Smash attack. Tyrunt will be at level 10 and will come with moves like Roar, Stomp, Tail Whip and Tackle.

There are no other known ways to get Tyrunt with Rock Head ability. So players interested can participate in the competition. However, one must play atleast three battles and earn a place in the rankings to get the Tyrunt, iDigitalTimes reported.

The Battle of Hoenn Competition

Players who are interested have to sign in on their official website and register between 15 January to 22 January, 2015. Players wanting to participate will also have to sync their Pokemon ORAS game with that Pokemon Global Link.

The Competition will be running from 23 January to 25 January, 2015. Players will be able to see the ranking announcements made on 30 January, 2015.

Special Demo Now Available in UK

To the excitement of all the UK owners of Nintendo 3DS, a special demo version of the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is now available.

Nintendo Life has listed the demo on the eShop page and it has appeared as a SpotPass notification.
