How to Catch a Legendary Pokemon?

Pokemon ORAS allows trainers to catch Legandary Pokemon like Lugia to Giratina. It is a crowning moment for the Pokemon trainer (in-game) to capture a Legendary Pokemon. Many such Pokemon can be captured due to the ability to Soar overworld, which can be performed once trainers get their hands on Latios or Latias, depending on what Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire. It is also to be noted that some of these will occur after the completion of the post-game Delta Episode where we see the battle between Rayquaza and Deoxys.

Legendary Pokemon like Vicini, Shaymin and Keldeo have not yet been discovered, according to  iDigitalTimes. The pages will be updated as it is being found.

DexNav Tutorial

The DexNav allows players to scan the area for any special, hidden Pokemon. It allows players to search which Pokemon is in the area. It also lets players know the number of Pokemon that they have captured in a particular area.

iDigitalTimes has given out three steps that will help players use the DexNav to full potential:

Step 1: Try to Encounter More Pokemon

Players must try to encounter more Pokemon either thorough battles or in the wild. This will allow DexNav to show Pokemon in new areas on its interface. Pokemon will appear in shadows if players have already encountered them. But the ones that have been caught will show Game Boy Advance sprite.

The DexNav will also show Pokemon that are available in water areas, these can be captured by fishing or surfing.

Step 2: Search Level

After players have aimed for the Pokemon that they want, they have to move to the next step. Players will have to make it a point to encounter a specific Pokemon as many times as possible as its easy way to get the best Pokemon in the DexNav searches.

DexNav will inform players about a Pokemon that in the area. Players will also be able to get the details of a Pokemon. In the information chart, players have to look at the top right corner, where they will see 'Search Level' and a number. This number will increase with the maximum being 25 as players encounter a specific Pokemon many times.

Once players hit the Search Level to 25, then DexNav will show details about the Pokemon, its level, ability and more.

Higher the level of Search, the probability of Pokemon having a Hidden Ability and an Egg Move is more likely.

Players can spend a good deal of time hunting for these special Pokemon using the DexNav tool.

Step 3: National Dex

Once players encounter either Groudon or Kyogre in the main story, then their Pokedex will be upgraded to National Dex by Professor Birch. This allows trainers to capture Pokemon that is not native to Hoenn region.

According to Birch, due to climate change, some of the Pokemon migrated and hence players will find some of them in different regions.

Check the list form Serebii and find which Pokemon will show up in National Dex.
