Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the upcoming game from developer Game Freak, has released details for its first ever demo of the main game. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive, which will release on 21 November in Japan and North America, and 28 November in Europe.
Players will now be able to download the game and play it any time. The details were revealed by Serebii.net.
Demo Details
Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo versions will be set in the city of Mossdeep, where players will be able to select a starter Pokemon with the options of Grovyle, Combusken and Marshtomp.
Players will then travel through the city to find trainers and will encounter Team Aqua and Team Magma admins in a cave that is close by.
Players will also encounter Pokemon-like Loudred, Nosepass, Linoone and Slakoth. The demo will end with players getting one Mega Evolution. This Mega Evolution "has never been seen outside of this demo before".
Players will be motivated to play the demo daily as there will be special offers which they can expect, said the report. More details will be revealed at a later stage.
Demo is Transferable
This will be a unique Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo, allowing players to transfer the demo aspects-like items collected and the Mega Evolution Pokemon into the main game once it is bought. This transfer will be done by using the Pokemon Link feature in the game.
Japanese Pre-Order
There was a massive crowd that had gathered for the Japanese pre-order of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
Media Create (via Siliconera), a Japanese sales tracker, said that there were nearly 239,000 pre-orders in two days. Though the number is lesser than Pokemon X and Y (260,000 pre-orders), we must take into consideration that Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire is a remake.
A Kotaku report gives us an idea of the crowd waiting for the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire pre-orders.
How to Obtain the Demo?
It is to be noted that Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire demo cannot be downloaded from Nintendo eShop.
The demo will be given out during events at different parts of the world where players will be given a unique code that will allow them to enter the Nintendo eShop and download it.
The unique code will be one-time use and will be active only for a short period.
